Creating Unique Kennel Resort Properties

In 2007 Cory and Paul Andrews purchased a Dog Boarding facility that was in need of some TLC. This started their journey to creating unique Kennel Resort properties designed to meet their guest’s individual needs. Dogs Country Club & Kennel Resort was this first property.

From the very first day they understood that caring for older guests was a very big part of what they wanted to do.

Fast forward 8 years and Rusty’s Retreat at Dogs Country Club, the golden oldies suites designed for geriatric dogs, was become fully booked almost all year round. This prompted Cory & Paul to make the decision to create a new resort facility for all their older guests.

Shortly after this decision they found a 5 acre boarding property in the next town Pearcedale, which again needed some TLC to get it to their high and exacting standards.

Initially the idea was to create a facility for golden oldies and special medical needs guests. As the renovation plans developed it was determined that this would also be a great environment for small to medium dogs for owners who preferred that their little dogs were not around big dogs.

In December 2017, after 5 months of intensive renovations, We Love Dogs Kennel Resort was open for its first guests. Since that time we have cared for some of the most beautiful dogs, young and old, healthy and those with less than optimal health.

One was very old and blind, one is older, and one is tiny.  All are super enthusiastic at the sight of the K9 Kab arriving, and return looking very well and lively, and all clean and smelling good.  I love the newsletters and the posts that they do, and they are really organized with the booking process and phone calls.  But most of all I trust them to look after the dogs.

For context, I booked my 2 dogs in - one of them less than 2 weeks post surgery for a cruciate ligament operation. The level of care and due diligence by WLDKR was next level. They understood the post operative needs completely and looked after my dogs’ needs, as if the dogs were their own. They provided detailed updates and even gave us a ‘Welcome’ pack. I have no hesitation in recommending WLDKR for all your doggy needs. You can rest assured that they will be cared for and doted on, like they are at home. I know when I am away that she is being loved and taken care of. Facilities are fantastic and the photo update you get, provides the reassurance that your furbaby is having a good time.
