Whilst we all prepare to eat our way through the silly season, it’s important our doggies get to enjoy a festive treat too!
Ingredients
- Plain Flour – 340g
- Baking Soda – 1 1/4 teaspoon
- Softened Butter – 75 grams
- Vegetable Oil – 60mls
- Egg – 2
- Carrots (shredded) – 1 cup
- Carob Chips – 115 grams
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Prepare an 8 inch baking tin, line with baking paper to grease with butter and flour.
- Combine all dry ingredients together in one bowl.
- In a separate bowl cream together butter, oil and eggs. Stir in carrots and carob chips.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients together.
- Pour batter into prepared baking tin and place in oven. Bake for around 35 minutes or until cooked through.
- Place on a cooling rack and allow to fully cool through before cutting a slice for your pooch or icing.
Cake can be iced with plain, no added sugar yogurt or cream cheese.
